Yes, all payments (including credit card payments) go through PayPal's trusted and secure channels. We do not store any credit card information.
Yes. While we are mainly serving customers in United States and Canada now, we welcome and appreciate your business even if you are from somewhere else. However, first you need to purchase one of our flexible prepaid packages and can not enjoy the 'free to try no oblgiation' policy. After we have established a mutual trust, you will be granted full access to our services.

Yes, we do. If you are an established customer with us, it would be business as usual. Otherwise you would need to confirm with us that you are serious about the request and a prepaid plan might be needed.
If you have no paying record with us, we may ask you to buy a $5 or $15 Store Credit before we can work on your request. This is to make sure you are serious and would likely pay if you are really happy when you see the results. This credit is 100% refundable, and we will not hassle you about it.

Store Credit could be applied to your order total. To request a refund, just send us an email, selfservice refund will be implemented soon on our website.

If you pictures are not paid during the first two weeks after they are ready and you are notified, our system is moving them to archive storages. To reactive them for you, there will be additional cost.

Yes. We don't charge for scanning, but you need to pay $10 extra for sending the package back to you through USPS ensured priority mail.
Yes. Mail it in. Or you could scan it and we will fix the reflection from the glass.
You could scan it into multiple photos, usually 2 or 4, submit all them to us, we will merge them properly before retouching/restoring.
Consumer scanners can never match up to commercial ones, but 95% of scanning jobs can be done perfeclty with an everyday scanner. Make sure the setup is at least 300 PPI, best at 600 PPI. Contact us for more directions.
Yes. Please refer to our privacy policy. Your pictures will never be used by anybody else for any purpose, unless you explicitly authorize us to use them for our promotional purpose.
It is the only way we can notify you about the status of your photo editing requests. We do not share your email address with anybody else.
It means we have started working on your photo. No, you do not need to do anything else unless you have extra instruction to give. In case that we need clarification, our customer service will contact you. Once your photo is ready, the status changes to "Ready for your review" and an email will be sent to your registered email address.

We have finished your request and your action is required. You need to review the results and do one of the following:
"Accepted" means you have chosen the photos you like but have not paid yet. Only in "Paid" status you will be able to download the full-size, watermark-free photos.
Usually 1 to 3 days. If you are one of our commecial customers, your SLA (Service Level Agreement) with us would guarantee a turnaround time for each request you submit.

Usually not. Unless you specify you intend to use it to print a particular size, e.g. 8x10. Cropping is free, but if you don't want to lose any of picture but still want to print a specific size, some simple reconstruction will be charged at $5 each.
Yes. Generally, we categorize most of the 'severe' or 'extreme' cases from other websites into 'medium' to 'severe'. Our 'extreme' definition is that when there is really not much digital data to work with. E.g. old photo washed out, low resolution scan from newspaper 100 years ago.
